Once endorsed by the BBC as the easiest African language to learn for English speakers, Swahili is a neutral language with no ethnic or religious affiliation, spoken in Tanzania, Kenya and is the lingua Franca of the East African and great lakes region. The A2 Swahili level is suitable for a student trying to survive in a Swahili-speaking country and socialise with Swahili speakers at a minimal level.
The B1 level is sufficient for a student trying to initiate and sustain an interaction with Swahili speakers on familiar topics such as their workplace.
